This policy explains how Diaspora Keys supports payment visibility, transaction handling, refund pathways, reconciliation context, and issue escalation across eligible platform workflows and financial interactions.
This Payments & Refund Policy applies to payment-related interactions supported through Diaspora Keys, including eligible transaction flows, service payments, booking-related activity, wallet-linked movement, and other supported financial coordination features within the platform.
Payment handling may involve card rails, bank transfer, local payment methods, third-party processors, or other operational partners depending on the workflow and geography involved. Availability, timing, limits, fees, and settlement behavior may vary by provider and jurisdiction.
Diaspora Keys aims to present clearer payment states such as initiated, pending, completed, refunded, held, or under review where that information is available. Users should still allow for processing delays, provider-specific checks, and reconciliation timing before assuming a payment has failed or duplicated.
Before authorizing payment, users should confirm the intended recipient, the related listing or transaction context, milestone expectations where applicable, and whether verification or diligence steps should be completed first. Payment should not be sent in response to unusual pressure, unclear instructions, or unsupported off-platform arrangements.
Refund availability depends on the type of transaction, the relevant provider rules, escrow or milestone status, contractual terms, timing of the request, and whether the payment is disputed, already settled, or subject to an ongoing review. Some payments may be refundable in full, in part, or not at all depending on the circumstances.
Payment delays may occur due to provider review, bank timing, settlement windows, compliance checks, currency conversion, weekends, holidays, or technical processing issues. In some cases, failed, reversed, or duplicate attempts may require manual review or provider-side reconciliation before a clear final outcome is available.
If a payment becomes disputed or appears suspicious, the related funds or transaction workflow may be paused while supporting evidence is reviewed. Users may be asked to provide receipts, payment references, communication history, screenshots, or other documentation to support a refund or investigation process.
Certain providers, banks, or rails may charge service fees, conversion charges, intermediary handling costs, or other deductions outside the direct control of Diaspora Keys. Cross-border users should account for foreign exchange fluctuations, transfer timing, and local banking constraints when making payment decisions.
Diaspora Keys may delay, reject, review, or restrict payment-related activity where unusual behavior, impersonation risk, unsupported routing, policy abuse, or other fraud indicators appear. These controls are intended to reduce harm and protect the broader transaction ecosystem.
We may update this Payments & Refund Policy as financial partners, regulations, or product capabilities evolve. If you need help understanding a charge, refund path, delayed settlement, or transaction issue, you should use the Help Center, Contact Support, or dispute-related flows available on the platform.
